The "real original" may seem hard to find, but it is there: in Dubai : Spice and gold souq, abra across the creek and desert safari, from Dubai you could visit Sharjah - lots beautiful buildings and maybe visit the blue souq.
Abu Dhabi : grand mosque ok, it's new, but incredibly beautiful Qas'r al hosn old fort is worth a visit, kayaking in the mangroves or rent a boat with captain , and go out to one of the beautiful islands off the coast. Al Ain may be a good suggestion for you: it has several old forts and some of the oldest settlements in this part of the world, the old palace, oasis and a chance to drive up jebel hafeet for great views.
