To waive out of SHIP, you must provide proof of comparable health insurance that meets the coverage requirements of the Affordable Care Act by the Friday of the first week of each term.
AMDA recognizes that being a student in higher education can be stressful - and costly - and being hungry may only add on to the stress. Our Flexible Food Plan is just that — flexible! Deductions are applied to your account only for the specific menu items you order — meals and food items are all priced individually, and there is no automatically-deducted fixed price for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
You may choose when and what you want to order so you can utilize the plan at your own convenience for any meal or snack any day of the week. There are no requirements of which days or meals you must order through the plan. Menu options will be available for vegan, vegetarian, and traditional omnivore diets.
The Flexibile Food Plan is a required plan for all first year LA students and will be packaged together with tuition and housing in your Financial Aid Plan.
The maximum number is 30 term credits or 45 quarter credits toward the General Education courses only. International Baccalaureate IB courses may be evaluated for potential transfer credit by submitting an official academic record transcripts to AMDA. Approved transfer credit may be used to satisfy only the General Education requirements. Courses listed under the category of Standard Level SL will not be considered for evaluation.
