Which pram to get

I'm sorry I don't know too much about most of those prams. But one thing I can help with is the wayfarer. When we were pregnant with our angel and starting looking at prams.

This was one we looked at as I loved it's style. However like you I kept finding lots of bad reviews. Due to the wheels. But then I find yeh pioneer. Basically the same. But with bigger and better back wheels. It fixes the one thing everyone complains about on the wayfarer.

So if you like its look it's definitely working looking at. Search for a thread. Preparing for baby Need to get organised!

You can also see the price of the Baby Jogger capsule that you can add here and bassinet here. One pram that consistently ranks well in pram reviews is the Thule Urban Glide. The huge 3 point wheels can be locked in both the front for jogging and in the rear for added stability on rough terrain.

This makes it the perfect allrounder for parents that need a little flexibility. The pram folds really well with one hand and is pretty lightweight and the best compact pram once folded. The handlebars can be changed in position making the pram comfortable for parents of all heights.

The child seat is great. For parents with a more active lifestyle, the Baby Jogger Summit X3 Pram is ideal for jogging with your baby when they reach a suitable size. The swivel wheels can be locked into place from the handlebar erasing the need to bend down. This is super convenient and helps the pram score big points for its ease of use.

The handlebar also features a handbrake for great control. The all-terrain wheels make it super easy to push on all surfaces, and the wheels easily pop off so that the pram can be folded more compactly. Alternatively, you can also purchase a parents organiser separately.

The pram features a huge canopy with a peekaboo window for visibility. You can find information about the attachable capsule here if you want to be able to turn this into a travel system. The seat offers multiple levels of recline to a nearly flat position and a huge weight limit of 34kg. While it is a bit heavier and wider base, it is definitely a strong and sturdy option and I think the best all terrain pram and best off road pram in Australia.

Having a dedicated travel stroller is awesome for when you travel and works well for home too. As people who travel frequently and have a tiny boot in our car, having the best stroller for travel has been essential.

The bag is great as it minimises the stress of worrying something will happen to the pram. The best part of this pram is the fold. Another big pro of this Mountain Buggy stroller is the weight. The seat can hold up to 20kg which is great for a small pram and even fit our tall four-year-old while sitting. A nice sized canopy with decent recline — definitely enough for your child to sleep, but not enough for a newborn.

It is a two hand fold which makes it tricky navigating on your own — you have to put things down to fold it properly. Smaller wheels which can make it tricky on rough surfaces, but rear suspension guarantees a super smooth one! However, it is a super convenient choice for the best stroller Australia and makes for a great infant stroller if you also purchase the bassinet called a Cocoon as pictured above. It even fits easily into the tiny small boot of our Beetle Cabriolet while still being a fantastic stroller for toddlers.

In fact, in addition to it being a best travel stroller, I also put it in the category of best baby pram Australia with the cocoon added.

With the extra and features this pram has, you can easily use it for day to day use and not just for travel. You can find the latest prices for the awesome cocoon attachment here. This is the perfect pram to bring along on all your travels! It weighs in at a featherlight 4. When folded up, it meets airline requirements for carry-on baggage. No matter where your adventures take you, it will be easy to bring your pram. The wheels work well on a variety of terrain, including brick and cobblestone pathways.

An additional benefit of this pram is how comfortable it is for your child. The design features a breathable mesh fabric that reduces the risk of chafing and sweat buildup on warm days.

This is the rolls royce of strollers and it is an option for the best pram for travelling. It is similar to the Nano in many ways. It is a compact, lightweight travel pram with a small fold that is perfect for taking onboard aircraft. It comes in at only 52 x 44 x 18 cm when folded and up to 6. It comes with a travel bag, rain cover and has a nice extendable canopy.

There is a handy basket underneath. There is a choice of frame and seat covers and you can buy additional seat covers if you want a change. You can buy a bassinet attachment called the Nest. How does it compare to the Nano in travel stroller reviews? Really, they are both very similar so we purchased the Nano thanks for the lower price tag and it is our pick for the best travel pram , but I think you will be happy with the YoYo as well which is definitely a top contender for best compact stroller Australia.

When looking for best prams for newborns, it can be tricky and you need to make sure the pram you buy is actually suitable for newborns or you are happy to buy a bassinet or capsule that will turn the pram into one which is a best pram for newborns.

So if you are trying to work out how to choose a pram for newborn babies — that is what you need to do. It needs to have a seat that lies flat or very close to, be rated for newborn use or have an attachment that will make this so. If this is the case, you are good to go! Our take: This travel system from Maxi Cosi has five different modes so you can find one that accommodates, and eventually grows with your baby. What we like: Lightweight and available in several colors, this stroller and pram is the only one you will need from newborn until your toddler weighs 50 pounds.

A large storage basket will hold all your necessities as well as shopping bags. What we dislike: The wheels on this stroller could provide a smoother ride.

If you want to use this pram with a car seat you will have to purchase it separately. Stephanie Jarrett is a writer for BestReviews. Make sure your pram has a sunshade to help protect against sun, rain and bugs year-round. What to know before you buy a pram. Pram features. Adjustable handlebar. Cup holder or parent tray. Deep and with nice stretchy net sides for jamming shopping in. Like I said, both terrific prams.

The best bit? It fits into overhead storage on flights. Hi Zoe, Loved the post! We have our keen little eyes on the iCandy peach 3 — did you ever look at this pram? Does any of your lovely readers have one?? It seems very similar to the Bugaboo looks, price, travel system, accessories etc However — our dilemma! We love the idea of long sleeps fingers crossed! Not sure how many long car trips you have planned! I reckon we definitely had him in there for 2. With nappy changes and feeds in there.

Sarah I have the iCandy Peach 3 and I absolutely love it! I went with the bassinet and borrowed a capsule from a friend however my 4 week old could have also gone into the baby seat that my 3 year old uses as he is ready for a booster.

I chose the black frame and black bassinet for my little boy. Pram envy is a thing! Love this post Zoe! Spent bloody ages at baby stores watching the staff put prams together and then tell us specs of which we had no understanding. We got it home and realized we made this fatal mistake and the pram stayed unfolded until we were brave enough to tug on odd handles and straps… whoops.

I was in tears on the street with a 3 week old Sonny also crying on an ambitious trip to Coles because I could NOT get the seat to clip back into the car. Oh my lordy. This is why I love you. Big thumbs up for sharing stuff like this. Oh no!!! I feel you — I had the exact same problem while I was still a novice with the pram. Bodhi was in his car seat crying and crying, I was in the car park crying and crying shaking that pram for all it was worth. Poor babies. We have the attachable carry cot and like you, slept our son in it during the day downstairs, for the first few months of his life.

Also, more recently we purchased a Silvercross Pop for travelling to France this summer and back to Australia for Christmas.

A pram fetish is what my Dad calls it. I started with the cameleon and a peg perego capsule, when number two came along I added a peg perego twin side by side that the capsule clicked in.

I have just traded the cameleon for a bee which I use with a wheelboard for the 3yo. Car space is at a premium when you need to cram 50 balance bikes and 10 scooters in the boot. Thats 4 prams in three years- who am I? I do not know this previously rational person at all. Me too. We need help. Love love love the city mini gt! We live on a dirt road so this is perfect for the walk to school as well as everyday shops etc.

Hence my neutral tones. Which actually I would switch up for plain black I think, then jazz up with coloured inserts and stuff. I overwhelmed myself so much with choosing a pram, I even created a spreadsheet matrix to more easily compare features. Pram count now at 2, seriously considering a 3rd. Choosing a pram was worse than buying a car, far worse. Have chosen the Uppbaby Alta version and keeping fingers crossed! You are not alone Zoe! We found ourselves completely in the same boat and ended up with two prams too.

Then for big walks around the neighbourhood and outings where we need a bit more gusto we have the Bugaboo Buffalo. Do we feel like prententious tossers when we say we have two prams? A bit. But are things WAY easier? Also…side note — as someone who had my little girl a few months after you had Sonny, can I just say all of your baby posts have been a god send. All of your tips the belly bean pillow, recovery shorts etc have been the absolute bomb and are etched in my brain to share with all my pregnant friends in the future.

Thanks for the article! Did you look at the Joolz at all? LOVE my joolz! Looks amaz, handles well, faces both ways, with practise it becomes easy to fold, peeps complain that the basket is too small but it was fine for us. Like Erin said it looks amazing having a good looking pram totally lifted my mood in those early weeks when I knew I looked like a train wreck! We decided on this one as my 6ft5 hubby liked the baby was sitting higher so he could actually see her and I liked the accessories esp the additional shopping basket which fits our full weeks grocery shop.

With daughter number 2, I desperately wanted a new pram and thankfully hubby was on board after seeing a lovely mum pick up her 9 month old in one arm and in the other hand fold up the Baby Jogger City Elite in the other. New pram purchased and gorgeous 4 month old now loves it!! You really need a compact car pram and a bigger all terrain pram. Still wish I would have tried the Bugaboo but my youngest of 3 is 2 so my husband may kill me if I buy another as I tried many prams to get to my perfect combo.

Oh and definitely a capsule that clicks into a pram, this is my only advice to any new mums. Newborns love the cosyness of their capsule. Oh and Isofix will change your life when it comes to car seats! My first pram is a Mountain Buggy Urban which is fabulously light to push and steer. My second, which holds a baby and toddler is a Baby Jogger City Select which is much heavier with both in there, particularly when the toddler is seated further away and surely everyone wants the baby up closer.

Though its great to have two seats, as three year olds tire of walking quickly and it is much easier to move around than a side-by-side pram. I also have the Bugaboo Donkey — bought just over four months ago for our first baby and second baby.

I use both on a daily basis for long walks along the street … really wanted to say beach but life in Tasmania is not quite that romantic — well not all the time. This will be my first bub due June so I feel completely out of my depth with all this stuff!

Has anyone tried the Quinny range, in particular the Moodd? Of course that could be a good thing for my arms but not so much for my back! Any thoughts would be much appreciated! Seen me throughout two babies and will use when 3rd is due soon.

Live it! Easy to handle, put up and down and I found it light after my csections. We used it with the Maxi Cosi Mico capsule to begin with and it was a life saver in terms of moving Bubba in and out of the car. The Stokke was our every day pram, loved the height, changeability, etc, etc. The BOB is for exercise — walking now and running, when I get back to it.

Both handle like a dream. Love them. I can totally relate and am stoked you recommend your bugaboo too!
